Association of Women MOST from Jablanica (main applicant) and Business and Entrepreneurship Association LiNK Mostar (partner) started implementing the project “Tastes of Jablanica for Rural Development”.
The objective of the project is to support the sustainability of rural households in the Jablanica region by improving the supply of traditional and healthy agro-food products and food from the local area, and through the promotion of traditional Bosnian-Herzegovinian cuisine with an emphasis on the local.
The project will work on raising the awareness of young people and women, local producers of agro-food products about the needs and opportunities in the market. It will also work on improving the knowledge and skills of unemployed persons from the rural areas of the municipality of Jablanica, in the production and services of traditional and healthy food, and about starting a business. The project also aims to achieve an expanded and complete offer of traditional and healthy agro-food products and food products from the local area and to train unemployed women from rural areas about catering services. The campaign “Tastes of Jablanica”, which promotes traditional and healthy agro-food products and food from the local area according to ecological standards, will be implemented.
The project is implemented within the framework of the Regional Program of Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD), funded by the European Union, and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
